Straw Yield is the weight of vegetative plant parts (stem, leaves, chaff) excluding grain, expressed per unit area (kg/ha or q/ha).
Formula Used
Straw Yield (kg/ha) =
(Straw weight per plot × 10,000) ÷ Plot area (m²)
Where:
• Straw weight = Sun-dried straw from sample plot (kg)
• Plot area = Area of harvested plot (m²)
